If you need extra support as a result of the cost of living then come along to our Eat Well Spend Less roadshow on Wednesday 10 July from 9.30am to 3.30pm in Park Mall, Ashford, at the One You Shop. There will also be a number of gazebos outside.

The event brings together a range of partner organisations including frontline NHS staff and Ashford Borough Council (ABC) officers, outreach organisations and charities, in one easy-to-access place and the focus will be on food, healthy eating and health.

It's free to attend, simply pop along for all this and more:

  • Guidance on shopping, preparing and cooking healthy, nutritious meals
  • Information on where and how to access local food banks along with community venues who offer free, pay as you feel or very reasonably priced meals in a social setting
  • Recipe bags with all the ingredients to make a recipe along with instructions
  • Recipe cards and locally produced recipe books
  • Food items including fresh fruit and vegetables – provided by Fare Share and Premier Foods
  • NHS Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust - offering free health check / MOT’S. Advice and pathways into One You Services including information on the extensive offer of the One You Shop
  • Ashford Borough Council - Welfare Intervention Officer – help and advice on financial/benefit support
  • Ashford Borough Council - Tenancy Engagement Officer – housing help and advice
  • KCC Adult Social Care and Health 
  • Safeguarding & Safer Streets – information and advice
