Gambling Act Policy

Full council adopted the licensing authority’s current policy in December 2015. The policy is valid for a maximum period of three years; during this period we will monitor any developments or changes in legislation and will update and consult on the policy as required. A draft Statement of Principles for Gambling [pdf] 1510KB has been prepared for 2019-2022 and will be open to public consultation from the 1st June until the 31st August 2018.   • Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way
  • Protecting children and other vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling
