According to South East Water, drinking water supplies have now returned for many customers across Kent, however around 4,000 customers are experiencing intermittent supplies while they continue to stabilise the network. This means water going on and off at peak times as drinking water storage tanks continue to recover following the increased demand in the hot weather.
In the Ashford borough, residents in Hastingleigh, Brabourne, Charing, Challock, Molash, Brook and Wittersham areas may be experiencing intermittent supply. The two bottled water stations in Challock Village Hall and Kingsnorth School are now closed. The Julie Rose Stadium, Tenterden Leisure Centre and The Stour Centre continue to allow those in need to use their shower facilities for free.
