Authority Monitoring Reports and Land Supply
The Authority Monitoring Report (AMR) includes the following information:
- Reviewing progress of the council’s Local Plan documents
- Monitoring the use and success of Local Plan policies
- Recording Public Consultations and Duty to Co-operate actions
- Progress on Neighbourhood Planning
- Providing borough-wide statistics on housing, employment, population, community, health, education, environment and transport
The report is split into topics, so that we are able to share the information in a more user-friendly way as soon it is available.
Housing Land Supply
The council has updated its Housing Land Supply position for the period 2024-2029. The report sets out that the council is able to demonstrate 4.39 years of housing land supply.

Housing Delivery Test Results 2022
The Housing Delivery Test (HDT) is an annual measurement of the housing delivery in the area. The 2022 results were published on 19 December 2023, and the HDT results was calculated at 107%. View the Housing Delivery Test (HDT) calculation.
Housing Delivery Action Plan 2021
The Housing Delivery Action Plan has been produced to understand the nature and pattern of housing delivery across the borough and identify a series of actions to unlock any potential barriers to housing delivery. View the Housing Delivery Action Plan [pdf] 870KB.

Kent County Council publish a wide range of statistics on a regular basis regarding population, diversity, education and skills, older people and health, housing and employment. Particularly useful are the Area Profiles, where Ashford can be selected to view this range of information relevant to the borough. These can be viewed on Kent County Council's website.
