Proposed Waterbrook Inland Border Facility
The United Kingdom (UK) has left the European Union (EU) and a transition period is in place until 31 December 2020.
A new website has been created which explains the Government’s plans for delivering inland border facilities to provide customs and transit checks required for hauliers from 1 January 2021. Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Department for Transport (DfT) are engaging with all relevant stakeholders to explain the need for inland border facilities at these locations.
Further details of the proposals for new Inland Border Facilities, including the proposed facility at Waterbrook, Ashford can be viewed on the Inland Border Facilities website where feedback can be provided. Updates regarding the progress of the schemes will be posted on the website.
