Planning Application fee changes from 1 April 2025

From 1 April 2025, there will be some changes to Planning Application Fees, which are currently set by the UK Government.

These will include, amongst other changes:

• Householder applications for alterations or extensions to dwellings
• Discharge of condition applications
• Prior approval fees

For a full list of fees visit the Planning Portal and view Legislation guidance from GOV.UK. The Planning Portal are also proposing fee increases for applications submitted via the Planning Portal from 1 April 2025. 

A fee calculator available on the Planning Portal will be able to assist with the above changes once they come into effect.
