Eat Well Spend Less and Wellbeing Roadshow comes to South Ashford

If you need extra support as a result of the cost of living then come along to our Eat Well Spend Less (EWSL) and Wellbeing roadshow on Wednesday 12 March from 10am to 2pm at St Francis Church, Cryol Road, TN23 5AS.

The event brings together a range of partner organisations including frontline NHS staff and Ashford Borough Council officers, outreach organisations and charities, in one easy-to-access place.

Our EWSL roadshows are being delivered this year to provide our community with resources, support, opportunities and to empower residents to become more resilient.

Residents will be able to receive information from many different services and it could also provide the perfect opportunity for you to get a free health check or find out more about the offer of the One You Shop in Ashford.

Anyone who attends will be able to benefit from guidance on shopping, preparation and cooking healthy, nutritious meals. There will also be Information on where and how to access local food banks along with community venues who offer free, pay as you feel or very reasonably priced meals in a social setting. Residents will also be given recipe bags with all ingredients to make a recipe along with instructions.

  • MacMillan Crossroads - provide volunteers to support people living with cancer across Kent in several ways; from companionship to transport to their healthcare appointments. In addition, they can support with accessing grants to help with the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis
