Ashford’s grass roots music venues will once again be alive with the sound of live music for the entire month October as Create Music Village returns to the town for a third year.

Celebrating Ashford’s live music scene, diverse venues and local acts, this year’s Create will also see nationally celebrated artists, rising stars and classic pop and rock tributes on the bill.

Music fans can book tickets for including Sex Pistols icon Glen Matlock, local legends Riskee and the Ridicule, BBC 6Music favourites Low Girl, national treasure Shaun Williamson aka Barrioke, dance floor fillers Deptford Northern Soul Club and national phenomenon, Swiftogeddon (The Taylor Swift Club night), as well attending free events including DJ sets from Just Vibez and a local music day curated by Ashford Massive.

This year the Create Music Village consists of core live music venues Revelation, Low Key Taproom and Coachworks, along with a fringe line-up taking place throughout the town, including Genfest at The Ashford Cinema.

In the run up to the October programme, new acts are being showcased with free Create Introducing gigs weekly at Low Key Taproom and local bands can get involved by taking part in Create Clash - a battle of the bands taking place at Coachworks on Friday 20th September, with the prize of a studio session and a gig at a local venue up for grabs.

Events can all be booked individually, but an exclusive festival pass that allows gig goers to attend as many as they would like for a bargain fee is also available, through the limited number 50 for £50 ticket (Ts & Cs apply, see website for details).

Create Music Village 2024 is made possible by funding from Ashford Borough Council, Arts Council England and local sponsors including EKC Ashford College, Bucksford Law and Kent, Invicta Chamber of Commerce and YouFibre.

Tickets are on sale on the Create Music Village website and you can follow Create on Instagram @createmusicvillage or Facebook @ashfordcreate for all line-up news.
