Ashford hosts a polling station for 2022 French Presidential and Legislative elections

The Consulate General of France in London has announced that Ashford will be the site of a polling station for French Presidential and Legislative elections taking place in April and June 2022.

The polling station is at The Yard and Hothouse at The Coachworks in Dover Place near Ashford International Station.

The timetable and voters expected for the four rounds of these elections are as follows:

Presidential election, 1,300 voters expected

First round, Sunday 10 April

Second round, Sunday 24 April

Legislative election, 290 voters expected

First round, Sunday 5 June

Second round, Sunday 19 June

The polling station is open from 8am to 7pm on all four dates. The French Embassy has stressed that whatever Covid-19 restrictions are in place in the UK at the time of the ballots will be adhered to so that public safety is guaranteed.
