Developing Affordable Housing (Eligibility Criteria) Form

Introduction

We are keen to work with organisations, and other local agencies, to deliver high quality affordable housing.

We use an eligibility criteria to ensure organisations are competent and committed to delivering affordable housing. This forms part of the development protocol and helps us come to open and transparent decisions on whether or not an organisation meets our criteria. Any interested organisation has a fair and equal opportunity to show how they would work within the borough.

Our housing team is committed to regularly reviewing and improving the eligibility criteria. Organisations have to renew their protocol arrangement every three years. In some circumstances, this review will take place more regularly.

Specialist housing providers who are unable to fulfil all the criteria should provide us with an additional statement. The statement should explain any omissions in completing the protocol. Priority will be given to housing providers registered with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
