Request a Bin
Get bins and replacement bins
Every home in the borough should have:
One wheeled grey bin for refuse (general rubbish).
One wheeled green bin for recycling.
One black and orange food caddy for food waste.
Optional brown bin for garden waste (only with a paid subscription).
New homes or missing bins
If you've moved into a home and bins are missing, you can order a replacement bin(s).
If your home is new and you built it, order bins by completing the individual property bin request form.
If your home is new and built by a developer, please contact them as they normally purchase the bins on your behalf.
If you're a developer needing bins for a new development, visit our housing development bin request page for details and to complete the request form.
Not sure if it is you who should be paying? Check the FAQs at the bottom of this page for more information.
Extra bins
Additional bins will only be considered for specific circumstances. If you think you need an additional bin, please contact us.
We only empty the bin sizes specified below. We can refuse to empty larger bins. No additional bins will be emptied unless authorised.
Replacement bins
We do not offer free replacements for refuse or recycling bins, unless it is proven that the bin fell in the back of the waste collection vehicle. We will replace lids that are confirmed to have been damaged during collection.
