All premises that have a licence to sell alcohol have an ‘automatic entitlement’ to two gaming machines.

You still need to complete a notification [pdf] 105KB to state if you’re having one or two Category C or D machines installed. This entitlement will last for an unlimited amount of time.

If you want to have more than two gaming machines you need to apply for an alcohol licensed premises gaming machine permit [pdf] 105KB. This will also last for an unlimited duration.

Clubs

Club machine permit [pdf] 79KB entitles clubs to offer up to three Category B4 machines.
Club gaming permit [pdf] 79KB entitles clubs to offer up to three Category B4 gaming machines. This permit also allows facilities for equal chance gaming.

Both permits lasts for ten years and an annual fee is payable.
