Health And Safety Enforcement

We aim to protect the health, safety and welfare of people at work, and others, who may be at risk from work activities.

The aims of our policy are:

To ensure a consistent approach to health and safety enforcement within our district and across all councils in Kent.
To provide officers with guidelines to enable them to make decisions consistent with current nationally accepted standards/guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
To inform the public and business owners of the principles by which enforcement action is taken.
