Polling Districts and Polling Places Interim Review 2018
Public consultation on Ashford Borough Council's review of polling districts and polling places will commence on Friday 13 July 2018. This is an interim review before conducting our full Parliamentary review later next year.
The Local Government Boundary Review 2017 and the Ashford Community Governance Review 2016 has resulted in extensive changes to ward and parish boundaries. These changes will come into effect for the Local Government Elections in May 2019 and the proposed polling districts and polling stations outlined in the consultation are based on the new boundaries.
The council is looking for feedback on any aspect of the proposed polling districts and/or polling places, including polling stations. Representation and comments are invited regarding those stations currently used, proposed new stations and/or any suggested alternatives. Please note that this review does not cover issues relating to Ward or Parish boundaries as these have been previously consulted upon.
Views are invited from all electors, particularly in relation to access to premises or facilities for those who have different forms of disability.
